e-Learning Translation and Localization Specialist

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - November 10, 2004 - ENLASO Corporation, a provider of enterprise language solutions, today announced its participation in the PADLA Distance/e-Learning Annual Conference, November 11, 2004, at Penn State Great Valley, in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

ENLASO e-Learning specialist, Mary J. O'Neill, Ph. D., will present a session titled, Developing e-Learning for Global Markets. O'Neill will provide an introduction to the key aspects of adapting e-Learning programs for overseas markets and audiences, including localization, cultural considerations, obtaining in-country buy-in, and managing feedback. The localization process will be presented in detail, including, but not limited to, the function of machine translation, translation memory and terminology management.

In its second year, the PADLA (Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey) Distance/e-Learning Annual Conference will address the design, development, and management of distance/e-Learning initiatives. The conference and the association promote the development of distance/e-Learning programs for global training and educational initiatives. The association has become the leading source of information, providing recommendations for government agencies and global enterprises developing distance/e-Learning programs.
