ENLASO Presents at 27th Internationalization and Unicode Conference
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - March 23, 2005 - ENLASO
Corporation, a provider of enterprise language solutions, today
announced its participation in the 27th Internationalization and
Unicode Conference, April 6 - 8, 2005, in Berlin, Germany.
Hosted by the Unicode Consortium, the conference
brings together software industry corporations and researchers
dedicated to developing and implementing the Unicode Standard,
a foundation for successful internationalization and localization
of Web sites and software.
Represented by Localization Solutions Architect,
Yves Savourel, ENLASO will present three sessions including:
• Web Internationalization:
Standards and Practices
In concert with Tex Texin, Savourel will address the architecture
of the Web with respect to character processing and the facilities
of markup languages for internationalization. With a focus on
developing multilingual data in HTML, XHTML, XML, and CSS environments,
Yves will discuss global interoperability standards.
• XML and Localization
A popular Savourel presentation, XML and Localization explores
the advantages of XML in translation and localization. Using
dynamic examples, Savourel will expand on how to take advantage
of XML, even when localizable data is not in XML format. Savourel
will also discuss the value and capabilities of XML-enabled
tools and technologies.
• ENLASO's Rainbow Localization
Tools
Savourel will introduce various tools from ENLASO's suite of
localization freeware. Demonstrating how the tools benefit engineers
in localization processes, Yves will explore the newer functionalities
including: Unicode-based encoding conversion utilities; a filter
based on regular expressions that use the Unicode characters
properties; filters for HTML, Java, and Windows RC formats;
and extraction to XLIFF.
ENLASO's internationally recognized experts
actively participate in the development of industry standards
that benefit both the customer and the technologies used to improve
localization processes worldwide. Today, ENLASO is actively involved
with LISA (Localization Industry
Standards Association), UNICODE,
OASIS (Organization promoting the advancement of XML), ATA
(American Translators Association), and the W3C
(World Wide Web Consortium).
